Integrating your Teachable Sales Pages with Deadline Funnel enables you to create an evergreen funnel offering limited-time bonuses for each lead: Each deadline will be personalized on an individual basis, offering an incentive to purchase, on an evergreen, rolling basis.

Note:

  • Before you integrate the deadline with your Teachable page, you'll need to create a campaign.

  • Teachable allows Deadline Funnel to put timers on Teachable landing pages, not checkout pages.

Deadline Funnel default behavior

The default behavior in Deadline Funnel is to always show a deadline on the page.

  • If the visitor has already been tracked by Deadline Funnel, then we'll show their existing deadline.

  • If they haven't been tracked yet, Deadline Funnel will start tracking them via their IP address/cookie, and display a new deadline for that user.

Create Two Versions of your Teachable Course

You will create 2 versions of your Teachable Course and sales page, one version with the bonuses and one version without the bonuses.

The duplicate course feature can be found in the Information area of that course in your Teachable account. Click the 'Duplicate Course' button, and all course content (except for student enrollment records) will be duplicated into another course:

Add your bonus content to the appropriate version of your course and sales page. Be sure to name the 2 courses so that you know which course contains the bonuses.

Integrate Deadline Funnel with your Teachable Page

In your Deadline Funnel admin, click on 'Tracking Code' to copy your Deadline Funnel tracking code:

In your Teachable Admin, navigate to Site > Code Snippets and then paste your Deadline Funnel tracking code into the 'Head Code Snippets' box and click 'Save':

Navigate back to Deadline Funnel, add the URL of your Teachable page to Campaigns > Edit Campaign > Pages, select 'Display Floating Bar', and (optionally) add your Redirect URL, then hit 'Save'

Your floating bar timer should now appear on your Bonus Course Sales Page. Here's an example of what the Floating Bar looks like:

Adding an Inline Countdown Timer to your Teachable Page

Note- To set up an Inline timer on your Teachable page you need to use the 'Custom HTML block' which is not enabled by default in Teachable. Reach out to Teachable support to have his feature enabled in your account.

To use an inline countdown timer instead of a floating bar, select 'Display Inline Timer' instead, copy the code snippet that is provided, and save your changes:

Return to Teachable and click on Bonus 'Sales Page' to edit your sales page:

In your sales page editor, click the 'HTML' icon to add HTML to your sales page:

Paste the HTML snippet from above into your sales page everywhere you want your countdown timer to appear and click 'Save':

When you view your 'before' page you will see your countdown(s):

How To Add Portal To Your Teachable Page

After you've added the Tracking Code to your site settings, go to the “Pages” section of your Deadline Funnel campaign and click “Add New Page”

Click the “Display Portal” Option:

Add the page where you want Portal to show up, and if you want it to redirect to a different page when the deadline ends, add the redirect page. (If you don’t want it to redirect, leave this field blank)

Click “Save” and then go test the page to see if Portal is showing up. You should see it within a minute or two of making the updates.
