Testing Your Deadline Funnel Campaign

We recommend you follow these quick and easy steps for testing the setup of your evergreen Deadline Funnel campaign, if you're using the Optin Form or API integration.

If you're just triggering the timer based on someone clicking a link or visiting a page, just make sure that you can see the timer when you visit the page, and there are no additional steps needed!

Important Note:

When testing either the Optin Form integration or the API Integration, it's very important that you start by clearing your tracking in Deadline Funnel.

How to Clear Your Tracking

Deadline Funnel tracks you as well as your site visitors and leads. Sometimes your individual tracking will expire, which means that when you visit your Before URL you'll automatically be redirected to your After URL. This can also interfere with testing your opt-in or API trigger, because you might already have a deadline assigned to you when you go to test it out. By clearing your tracking, you can ensure that you're starting from the beginning just like any new prospect entering your funnel.

You can follow these steps to reset your tracking:

In Deadline Funnel, navigate to Edit your campaign >

Click on the RED 'Clear Tracking' button (make sure to do this a couple of times, until you see a yellow box that says 'No tracking found'):

Testing the Optin Form Integration:

Opt-in to your campaign using your optin form

Navigate to Event Tracking:

And verify that your email shows up there:

If your email shows up, you're all set!

Testing the API Integration:

Trigger your webhook and push a contact into your campaign (How you do this will depend on how you set up your webhook.)

Navigate to Event Tracking:

Make sure your test email shows up in 'Event Tracking':

If your email shows up, you are good to go!
